Ok...I know I'm almost 21, but I freakin LOVE this show! Carly, Sam, and Freddie...those guys are hilarious. Oh and the older brother Spencer of course. Mixture of crackups, "special moments" and - my favorite - sarcasm.

And I know a couple people my age that like this show too (*cough* Nikki *cough*)...

Anyway, anyone who wants a laugh should watch this show. Dont overlook it just because its on a kids network channel. =] Even my mom enjoyed an episode with me.

Another reason to love it: It takes place in Seattle, WA! Whats NOT to love??? Haha

ITS WEEZY BABAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY.....

So, on March 30th, my family and I went to the I AM MUSIC TOUR 09 concert at the Arco Arena in Sacramento, CA. We had nosebleed seats, but we were able to move down a bit eventually. We were in the nosebleeds for Electik Red and Keri Hilson, but moved down in time for Gym Class Heroes, TPain, and Lil Wayne. Elektric Red was pretty good considering, even though I've never heard of them. Keri Hilson was pretty good too. Gym Class Heroes was AWESOME; Travis was incredibly sexy. TPain was a bit of a disappointment; I wish he would have performed more of his own songs. And full songs instead of "Snippet" versions. Lil Wayne was CRACKIN. The fire, explosions, and booms scared the shit out of me but it was still cool. I was singin/rappin/screamin my ass off the whole time! Its weezy babyyyyyyyyy! I also was happy to hear that him and Tpain are making a TWayne album--kinda like a "Best of Both Worlds" type thing. Craziness. TPain is better on another person's song, though he does have a few good songs of his own. Except for the line: "cuz I got nothin else to bust a nut on..." Nuff said.

Well, I'm sick. Allergies or somethin. Its kickin my ass. I hit up the NyQuil Gelcaps last night and conked out. Feelin a little bit better. But still not at all great. My lymphnodes are swollen, my throat is sore, I can feel my coughs and swallows in my ear, and I'm congested. Boo. And I'm such a complainer but I dont care.

Anyway... I gotta make some rice for dinner. How asian I know. =]

Alive For The First Time

I've recently fallen in love with Danger Radio-a band from Seattle,WA (my home) coming into the spotlight. Saw them for the first time on Real World doing an interview with Chet and then immediately downloaded their music after hearing a clip of "Alive For the First Time." I downloaded "Punch Your Lights Out EP" and "Used and Abused" and love their Christmas covers too! =]

My favorite songs are "Alive for the First Time," "Kiss N Tell," "Another Lesson in Love," "You All Believe," "Slow Dance with a Stranger," and "Your Kind (Speak to Me)." I watched a few of their YouTube videos and they are awesome in concert! Not everyone is, and I'm glad to see I most likely wont be disappointed when I finally get to one of their concerts.

They are currently on tour with Plain White T's (whom I also love) and I am SO mad I wont be in Seattle in a couple days when they perform! I wish I would have been up on my music last summer when they went on tour with Cute is What We Aim For! That would have been a double whammy!

I wish they were going to Vans Warped Tour this year! That would be awesome. They should do a surprise visit! Maybe I can try and catch them in Cali while I'm here, if they come close enough to Rocklin.

I'm curious what schools they went to. Would have been cool to know them and hang out with them before. They seem like cool guys. Dont forget about us Seattlites!

Get Warped...

So, Warped Tour 09 is comin up for Seattle, WA--my home. WhiteRiverAmphitheater! July 19th I think. Of all the bands going, I'm most interested in seeing TV/TV! Sexy bastards haha. I'm kind of confused about whos actually in the band. I have a crush on Joe Esposito, but I cant tell if he's still actually in the band, or if Camille and whassaname replaced him. =] (Please, no...) Josh Ocean's pretty hott too, but yea...

I love their songs. Check out their new EP, "Somethin To Get Excited About," on Purevolume.com! Their songs are "Indie Rock Girl" (Fave), "Call it Love," "Sleep On It," "Get It Get It," "Rockstar," and "Let it Go." And they are all hella good. For real. I cant wait til they come out with more. I'm strapped in for the ride.

Another band I'm hella excited about seeing is VersaEmerge. I've just discovered them. Awesome. Lead singer girl's voice reminds me of Haley of Paramore, but they've got a different style and this girl is only 17! Freakin young. And talented. Wish I had vocals like that. I bet their performance will be really good.

Among the other bands I'm interested in seeing is Breathe Caroline, Every Avenue, Silverstein, Hit the Lights, This Providence, Cash Cash, Forever the Sickest Kids, P.O.S.!!!!, LoveHateHero, Madina Lake, The White Tie Affair, Saosin, Sing it Loud, 3OH!3, Settings, & The Maine...and quite a few more. There are quite a bit of "Screamo" bands which I am not a big fan of, but it will be interesting. I've never been before and I'm really trying to go this year so pray for me. Me and Nikki. We gotta fight for our right to partayyyyyyyyyyyyy!

Lost in "Lost"

This show is effin crazy. My family has started from the first disc of the first season and we are utterly hooked! Its actually kind of ridiculous. I swear our family has an "addictive personality" gene which seems to be dominant? Anyway, we're already on Season 2, Disc 3 I believe. Crazy show. I couldn't even imagine being trapped on a island without an iPod?! Omg. I think I could survive if I had a solar powered iPod. They should invent those haha. I felt so bad for Hugo when the batteries on his WalkMan died. I FELT his pain. =]

Anyway, I LOVE this show. The finale for season 1 pissed me off! What the hell happened to Walt? Who the eff are these "Others" and where the hell is this island LOCATED! I really wanted that raft to make it so they could find someone in the ocean and get saved. Unfortunately, I knew it woudnt happen--there are 4 more seasons afterall. =]

I have a secret crush on Sawyer--played by Josh Holloway, even though he's a killer (for kind of a good reason)(well at least he acts like he's a bad ass). I have a weakness for a rough exterior that lets the mushy insides show with momentary moments of "weakness." At the right points anyway. Its also the dimples; I must say, I oggle over dimples! I love them. Especially on him. He is KidRock-esque but it that is easily overlooked. haha As long as he doesnt start singing "I'm a Cowboy Baby, Riding at night Cuz I sleep all day!" (Sad that I know those words...I think I used to sing along regardless...Kinda like how the Britney Spears songs are....) Anyway, survive Sawyer! I'm rootin for you!

And someone please, find Walt. Love that kid! (You know he was "Lil Saint" in YouGotServed, yes I watched that millions of times!)

Twilight.True Blood.Vampire Phenomenon.

First it was "TrueBlood". Based on the "Southern Vampire Novel" Series. Sookie, and her telepathy or whatever she calls it. Bill, the intriguing, darkly mysterious, sultry vampire. How did this dead, dangerous being become sexy and inviting? I dont know, but it works. Addictive.

Just the other day, I treated myself to a movie..."Twilight." Based on the Stephenie Meyer novel series. I was unsure about seeing this film at first, for it was PG-13. I thought'd it only be a adolescent-audience intended imitation of TrueBlood. My slight interest in watching the film had to do with Kristen Stewart (whom I love) and (later, I discovered) Nikki Reed. Well, much to my surprise, I loved it. And that guy, the one who plays Edward, is somehow ten times sexier with a pale, white face and a thirst, than he is in real life (Sorry). Mystery and fantasy colliding with romance? These vampire lotharios and their gifts --in the shape of their canine "vampire fangs"-- are only physical manifestations of the emotional pain guys already provide us...ever so willingly. Are we now masochists? What has the world come to? What have I become?? An addict. haha. Bought the rest of the series in hardcover from amazon.co.uk the NEXT DAY! And they are finally here. Reading "New Moon" during every interim at work now. I'm impressed Ms. Meyer...
Buying "The Host" next. You even have my UNCLE addicted. My 35 year old, street-scholar, uncle...

Wonder how many "fangbangers" there would be if they REALLY DID exist.

It Never Rains In [Northern] California...

...But somehow it is now. Has been for a couple days. I've been here, visitng my mom, my brother and my sister, since Tuesday (1/20). I'm in Rocklin, California and its raining. I guess I brought it with me from Washington. Fortunately, it will be 70 degrees come Monday.

I've been working for my mom since. Its awesome, 'cause I get Starbucks every morning. I swear, my family is the source of 2/3's of Starbucks' Fortune! Even my 1 1/2 year old cousin, Kaiden knows the significance of Starbucks. She has a fit if my aunt goes to Starbucks and she doesn't get her "kid's iced vanilla milk" (Starbucks' lingua franca), she throws a fit. Ridiculous, huh? I don't drink coffee if it't not Starbucks, unless I've got a caffeine withdrawal headache (yeah, i get those now! ugh!). Sad, i know... =]

My sister's Sweet Sixteen is on the 26th. Her party is tomorrow. She's having a big "Black Pearls & White Diamond" Party from 930pm - 1am. Doubt if any of them will come sober. Crazy these days, how early kids get a hold of drugs & alcohol. I've even heard of some parents buying and using with the kids. Weed, alcohol, ectasy, shrooms, Oxycotin... Not gonna lie, I went to Seattle's HempFest last year (it was AWESOME) and plan on goin again this year. But I've never "experimented" with anything else. Not interested. Tons of loaded highschool kids??? Pray for me yall. =]

So, one of the main points of visit, is to work for my mother and earn money. Plan on being able to my own apartment when I get back. At worse, maybe one with Nikki. Hopefully, I'll have enough to get a used car from around the way, and a deposit for an apartment. Don't really know how long I'm stayin out here. Bought a one-way ticket. Hope that I can come back to Washington with them; it would suck if, for some reason, i had to go home early. And coming home early will mean I will need to find a place to stay. Yay! Or not... Oh and finding a decent paying job in and around Tacoma is depressing. Big Time.

2009, iTS ALL ABoUT CHANGE...

Well, its a new year and there are a few things that I have realized in the last few months:

I've figured out what I wanna do for the first half of the rest of my life. I wanna get my BA in American Ethnic Studies, and then go to Japan and teach English. Then, I wanna go somewhere else and teach English. There are programs all over the world for that sort of thing. My understanding is that is pays well and I know that I would have so much fun. I want to be able to travel and seeing as how I'm pretty broke like a lot of other people, this seems the best way to do it.

Also, I've realized that since there is so much that I wanna do, I need to focus 100% on getting there. The thing that this means most is: NO BOYS. Men, maybe haha. Joking...partly haha =]. But, what I mean to say is that, dating can be such a distraction, and I dont feel that there is anyone my age who can be the man I would need them to be for me. Does that make sense? I mean, I'm too old to be playing games, but that doesnt necessarily mean that I'm old enough to settle down. I would like to hurry up and find that one person who I am supposed to be with forever so that I dont deal with all the bullshit in between, but thats unrealistic for the most part. I dont want some guy whos WAY older than me, and all the guys my age are mostly still into partying and games. I want someone who is goal-oriented, serious yet fun, honest, trustworthy, and a non-practicer of Stoicism =]. Maybe thats too much lol. I have just come across lots of guys who are no where near having their shit together. Dont think it'll happen for my age group for another....say...5 years?? Not to be offensive, but there are only a handful of the "good ones," and they are probably already taken. Am I right? Plus, nowadays, EVERYONE is getting pregnant, and I dont want to be one of them. Dont need anything holding me back from my dreams.

I have a ways to go before I can get there, but when I do, it'll all be worth it.
